The Friends of the George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida is a group who recognize that a great library is foundational to a great university. Over the past decade, the rapid pace of change in academic libraries has been breathtaking. New methods of discovering, retrieving and using information have led to increased expectations from library users.
